AERZEN Rotary displacement blowers

From atmospheric pressure to vacuum

AERZEN is a leading global manufacturer of special vacuum rotary displacement blowers. In our range you will find solutions for the generation of vacuum in one stage or in two stages. The large range includes a wide variety of design models and offers the optimum solution for every application.

Vacuums down to 500 or 300 mbar abs. can already be reached in one step; this is achieved by AERZEN with the Delta Blower G5 series of rotary displacement blowers and the newly developed Delta Hybrid series of rotary compressors. For pressures below 300 mbar abs., however, a so-called pumping station is essential, in which a backing pump and a vacuum rotary blower are combined. Together they produce the required vacuum in two stages.

As a specialist with many years of experience, AERZEN advises the producers of such pumping stations in selecting the optimum backing pump and selects the appropriate AERZEN vacuum rotary blower. Only when both systems have the best possible thermal and energetic match to each other, can the required parameters also be met and guaranteed. This is also how economic and energy-efficient operation of the system is ensured.

The MHV series vacuum blowers with pre-inlet cooling are suitable for the range of vacuums between 300 to 10 mbar. AERZEN supplies these solutions in eleven output sizes for theoretical nominal intake flow rates of 250 to 61,000 m³/h. The maximum allowable pressure difference is dependent on the particular thermal load. Pre-inlet blowers are mainly used in the roughing vacuum and vacuum range as a backing pump or in the under pressure level against atmosphere, in order to achieve high pressure differences in one step. They are also the correct choice for high compression ratios in the low vacuum range up to p2/p1 = 5. MHV series pre-inlet blowers can ensure continuous operation without overheating problems.

The air-cooled HV series blowers are designed for the medium vacuum range from 200 to 10-3 mbar. They are available in twelve output sizes for theoretical nominal intake flow rates of 180 to 97000 m³/h and support speeds from 3,000 to 3,600 min-1. They work with either vertical (type GM) or with a perpendicular transport direction (type GL), where the latter allows for a particularly compact construction. Both designs are utilised in coating technology, chemical and process engineering, metallurgy, the packaging industry, in central vacuum systems, in helium compression and helium leak detection systems, in lamp, light tube and solar panel manufacturing as well as in the automotive industries. For special applications, special seals can installed in the air-cooled, dip lubricated blowers. Special material options for housing parts and rotors are also possible.

The AERZEN CM and HM series canned blowers are designed for 24-hour operation, are certified for ATEX zone 0 (internal) and cover the high vacuum range from 200 to 10-5 mbar. Mineral or Fomblin oil can be used for lubrication. The CM series for aggressive gases is available in 14 output sizes for theoretical nominal intake flow rates from 110 to 15,340 m³/h. The HM Series for neutral gases, however, consists of 9 output sizes for theoretical nominal intake flow rates from 406 to 15,570 m³/h.The systems are suitable for creating a vacuum for industrial applications including chemical and process engineering, plastic film and glass coating, evacuation of hydrogen in helium leak detection systems and wherever leakage must be avoided. They are also well proven in the semiconductor and microelectronics industries, in the manufacture of flat panel displays, as well as in laser and solar technology.

The canned blowers can operate in the vertical or horizontal direction and standard water cooling of the motor allows operation under cleanroom conditions. A very high resilience to mechanical loading (up to 230 mbar) reduces the pumping-out times significantly. The use of a frequency converter enables a high control range (1:5), so that even smaller blower sizes are conceivable if required. Using various motor versions for network, cyclic and continuous operation it is possible to provide an individual solution for specific application scenarios.
